Solution for businesses looking to streamline their IT infrastructure
Cloud computing could be the solution for businesses looking to streamline their IT infrastructure and reduce costs, says an expert.
Cloud-based systems offer companies the means to adapt quickly and more efficiently to changing business conditions, according to Nathan Marke, chief technology officer at IT services firm 2e2.
The flexibility provided by cloud computing could be valuable for firms as they attempt to push growth amid budgetary constraints and fluctuating market conditions, he said.
"Cost pressures have continued to grow while IT departments struggle to increase business agility and cope with the peaks and troughs in demand for applications and services," Mr Marke said.
A growing number of companies are now starting to understand the potential of cloud-based IT infrastructure to reinvigorate their business, he added.
According to research group International Data Corporation, revenues from sales of cloud systems management software will touch around $2.5 billion in the next five years.
