Lenovo has updated its ThinkPad range of business laptops
Lenovo has updated its ThinkPad range of business laptops with the unveiling of six new models running Intel's latest Sandy Bridge processors.
The T420s, T420, T520, L420, L520 and W520 models, which are based on the second-generation Core chips, conform to proprietary Enhanced Experience 2.0 for Windows 7 standards meaning they start up on average 20 seconds faster than a regular Windows 7 computer.
Features in the new models include "all-day battery life", enterprise management options, 720p HD webcams, Nvidia's Optimus switchable graphics technology, as well as the ability to make video and voice calls.
The 14-inch ultra-thin T420s model, which weighs 1.78kg and offers an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels, is the first business-class notebook to feature Dolby Home Theatre v4 sound, the Chinese computer systems company said. It can use either Intel's HD graphics or a discrete 1GB Nvidia NVS 4200M graphics processing unit.
The models are expected to be available on the market from March.
