Symantec.cloud Email Anti-Spam service employs a unique suite of multi-layered spam filtering technologies to deliver dramatic cuts in the amount of spam reaching your network. Innovative Traffic Management and Connection Management capabilities identify unwanted email from known sources, slow it down and reject it. Our proprietary Skeptic™ technology, integrating heuristics rules, fuzzy fingerprinting and other techniques, then pinpoints spam from new and unknown sources, with near-perfect accuracy. Best-of-breed commercial spam filtering scanners provide additional layers of effective security.

How MessageLabs AntiSpam Service Works

  • All incoming emails are directed through the Symantec.cloud platform, hosted in secure data centres worldwide
  • Each email is scanned for spam from known and unknown sources using traffic management, Skeptic™ technology, and commercial anti-spam filters
  • Any email identified as spam is redirected, with multiple spam block and re-routing options available
  • Quarantined email and lists of approved and blocked senders are managed by administrators and/or end-users
  • Reports summarising actions taken by the spam filter service can be generated easily
