Insight Retains Investors in People 'Gold' to Jump into Top 7% of IIP Accredited Businesses in the UK.

Use of behavioural tools, high-performance coaching and introduction of Insight University puts Trusted IT advisor within the top 7% of IIP accredited businesses in the UK.

20th November – Insight UK, trusted IT advisor to many of the world's leading organisations, has announced that it has retained its Investors in People (IIP) 'Gold' Accreditation, putting it in the top 7% of IIP accredited organisations within the UK.

Investors in People is the UK's leading accreditation for business improvement through people management, providing a wealth of resources for businesses to innovate, improve and grow, with a focus on good people making great business.

Insight's recognition as one of its top 'Investors in People' comes as a result of a clear set of new directives and tools which were specifically developed and deployed to improve both the level of candidates coming into the business and their development as they progress throughout the organisation. Four of these were cited as being key in Insight retaining its IIP Gold Accreditation.

To help managers make better recruitment decisions insight's human resources team began using a new behavioural tool called PI (Predictive Index) as well as a PLI (professional learning indicator). Together, these tools allow its managers to investigate where an individual will fit best into the business by reviewing their 'behavioural' profile against a role profile, as well as their learning ability to pick up a new role. As a result, better candidates are now identified earlier in the process, meaning Insight can target training and development towards the specific requirements of the individual.

New employees can now utilise the Insight University, an online resource for e-learning modules allowing team mates a repository of best practice learning materials; e-learning, instructor-led courses, videos and articles. Although still in it's infancy, this will eventually incorporate a skills matrix for each job role that defines the curriculum for that role.

To further bring down barriers and improve inter-departmental communication, Insight has also developed itsWalk in My Shoes programme to help teammates understand the way another department works and gain insight into another area of the business that may interest them in the future.

In addition, IIP identified Insight's High Performance Coaching Programme and extensive teammate benefits as being two other key areas in retaining its Gold accreditation.

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: "We'd like to congratulate Insight on its Gold standard. Such a high level of accreditation is the sign of great people management practice and demonstrates a commitment to staff development, showing an organisation committed to being the very best it can be. Insight should be extremely proud of its achievement."

Emma de Sousa, UK Managing Director, Insight UK, added: "This is something I am incredibly proud of. Retaining Investors in People's Gold accreditation is a tribute to the efforts of a great team at all levels of the business and is a real testament to all of their hard work and commitment to doing a great job. It's a fantastic achievement as it means that we remain in the top 7% of IIP accredited organisations in the UK, working to realise the potential of their people as well as demonstrating excellence in people management."
